Looking at picking up a CJ-5

I am looking at picking up a CJ-5 frame and body as a project but don't know anything about them excpet they are a bit narrower and shorter that a YJ. what can you guys tell me? I am looking at throwing in the drivetrain from a donor vehicle so none of that is an issue.

If you're over 6' and 220 pounds you won't fit

Not true. I'm 6'1" and have owned my CJ-5 for over 20 years. I don't weigh 220lbs either though, so it's true that if you have a big fat gut you might have problems.

6'5" and I fit in mine. About to move the seat back but I can get in where it is now.

...comfortably without modifications to left rear wheelwell and seat mounting.

I'm 6'2 175lbs and would like a little more room between me and the steering wheel sometimes, even with the ~12" wheel. Otherwise I'm very happy with it. Just remember finding tops, frames, etc are harder for the '5, since the YJ and CJ7 share a lot of dimensions, and there seem to be many more CJ7's out there...

I am 6'3" and 240 pounds. So are you guys saying I will be uncomfortable? Looks like a cj-7 or YJ for me.
