Thread: Wipers and fluid spray not working in '05 TJ.

Hey everyone. I'm having issues with my windshield wiper system on my 2005 TJ. The wipers no longer work in any mode, and the fluid doesn't spray either. Fuses are good, I took the cowl off and checked the wiring and everything is intact, I can move the wipers back and forth by hand, but the dirty turds won't work. I have power to only one post inside the clip that attaches to the motor (checked with a circuit tester), but I don't know if that's correct. I'm pretty much at a loss now. Oh. my speedo only works when it feels like it. WTF? Any suggestions? I'm wondering if the motor is fried....

hmm thats weird I would have said check the fuses. sounds like its something in the wiring but i am no wiring guru. The speedo might be a faulty speedo gear.

Finally tracked it down. I took the steering column apart and the wiper's wiring harness had come loose. Ta-da! The damn speedo though, still acting like a butthole. I'll keep on it and post what I find, IF I find anything.

As for the speedo gear, I just replaced that. I did an axle swap and went to 3.73 gears w/33" tires, so I had to regear. It was acting like a tard before that though. IDK, at least it's hard to speed in this thing! lol
