How many miles have you put on your 5.2's and 5.9's so far?

I am just curious to see how many miles everybody has put on their 5.2 and 5.9 engines.... or how many miles they think they can get out of their engines. I have almost 167,000 on my 5.9 and it still runs as good as the day i got it. It would be cool to hear how many you got and how your jeep is doing with that many.

I bought my 5.2 with 160k, transmission went boom at 170k, but engine still runs just as good as ever.

tore down a 96 dodge 5.9 this summer. 180k(i think) in a work van and the cyl walls and pistons were good to go. slight scoring at the lower end and on the piston skirts.
sludged to heck and back, leaking from every seal, and a sloppy timing chain.

all those issues could have been avoided had it been serviced with good oil and taken care of properly.

160 k on the original tranny and engine as far as a know. I am not sure how much longer my transmission is going to last but it has survived 10K+ miles since It started having problems (delayed shift when cold)

Alright i have to ask. My 4.0/95 with 42/44RE i think it is? Whats wrong with these transmissions, is it normal for a transmission to last this long?

Mine seems like it shifts slow with proper fluid etc. 120k, wondering how much life it has left.

You have a 42RE... at 120K it shouldnt be crapping out.... unless its been used and abused and run with the wrong fluit level. When you check the fluid level do you have the engine running? Mabye its shifting normal and you arent used to it? IDK. It would help if you posted a video or somehting. Any other problems with it?

It could be on its way out. They're not the strongest of trannies.
