    Grand Cherokee Coils Fit XJ/MJ

    hey guys will grand cherokee coil springs on the front fit a jeep comanche/cherokee on the front..

    yes they will same part #s I crossed this awhile back at work when I got bored.

    i always thought they were different, iirc the zj stock coils sit about 1.5" higher than the xj/mj springs so it will lift the front a tad


    but yes they work and it is a small change

    i went to advance auto parts and it says that the coils for grand cherokees and XJ/MJ are completely the same. No height difference nothing, not even for the 5.9l model grand cherokee..

    we took some 5.9L coils and put them on my buddies jeep and it brought it up about 1.5-2" but could be because his xj coils were worn down? idk

    The 8 cly coils will give a small lift in an MJ. Just cause they are the same length doesnt mean it wont give a lift. Spring rate and number of coils also affects the spring

    yeah but those part numbers for the 8 cyl and the 6 cyl are completely the same. meaning their the samething same length, same weight, and same stiffness...

    thats strange it came up as the same part number because the v8 coils will give you the ~1" lift, where the 6 cyl wont.
